A clearer and more focused identity

Lift continues the artistic journey begun on ST.E.W while pushing the concept of The Modular Beat even further. The album abandons vocals entirely and focuses on richly layered instrumental compositions that combine electronic sounds, live instrumentation and an increased use of sampled material.

Compared to its predecessors, the music is more confident and conceptually focused. Rather than experimenting for its own sake, the album develops a distinct musical identity built around rhythm, texture and gradual transformation. Lift represents an important step in defining the characteristic sound that would shape later releases.
