Traumatic memory, retreat and meditative calm

Intrusion is a record of inward reflection and reduction. Its dreamlike journeys lead into spaces shaped by forgetting, the desire to be forgotten and self-chosen isolation. Released shortly before the coronavirus pandemic transformed everyday life, the album can now feel like an unconscious premonition of the period of retreat that followed.

The title refers to the involuntary return of distressing traumatic experiences. The music reflects that tension through depth, agitation and unease, yet it also radiates a gentle stillness and meditative force. Rather than resolving the contradiction, the songs allow disturbance and calm to exist side by side.

Cello appears here as a new instrument and has a defining influence on the mood of the album. Its physical, resonant voice expands the electronic and ambient palette, adding warmth, gravity and an intimate sense of movement.

Vocals are present only in invented language. They do not carry a standalone lyrical narrative, but support the music as another instrument through tone, breath and expression.
